Israel gains first right to host qualification tournament

A short and small draw has taken place in the EHF Office on Tuesday, when Israel was awarded the first right to host the qualification tournament in the Men's World Championship Qualification Group 4.

The four teams in that group, Portugal, Israel, Estonia and Georgia, had agreed to play their group in a tournament format instead of home and away matches.

The second right to host the tournament - should Israel deny - went to Estonia, then to Georgia, then Portugal.

The tournament will be played from 4 to 8 November 2015. Only the first ranked team qualifies for the play-offs in June next year.
