First tickets sold for the 2016 edition

As in previous years all current ticket holders have the opportunity to buy their seats at the 2016 event on 28/29 May next year already this weekend at the 2015 VELUX EHF FINAL4. That is two days before the official sale starts on 1 June.

And hundreds of handball fans made use of the opportunity already on Saturday as they waited in long queues way before the ticket shops opened.

Daniel Schütz and Attila Nemeth from Hungary are experienced visitors. They have been to the event five times already and are looking forward to next year. ”We are sure that Veszprem can make it to Cologne next year as well. We’d like to be here with our team in 2016,” they said.

Jens Nielsen and his son Nicolas from Denmark are at the VELUX EHF FINAL4 for the fourth time. They support THW Kiel: “We are absolutely sure that THW Kiel will be in Cologne next year. We like this place because of the Kölsch, the fantastic food and, of course, because of handball.

"We bought the tickets so early to make sure we'll have good seats close to the court next year, like we've had every year so far,” say Hans and Petra from Nuremberg (Germany).

Raul Calero and his girlfriend from Spain waited in line for more than an hour. “We have met nice fans while waiting. Everybody is relaxed and it really doesn’t matter which team you support. This year it was really hard to get tickets, that’s  the reason why we secured our tickets for 2016. We were scared of getting no tickets at all (if we waited any longer).”

Martina from Germany thinks the combination of exciting handball and the event's location in the heart of Germany works brilliantly. “The FINAL4 is perfectly organised and you can watch four great handball matches,” she says. “The peaceful atmosphere among the international fans is fantastic and remarkable. I’ve already secured tickets for 2016 to make sure I'll be here again.”

The weekend sales continue on Sunday. Tickets can be bought at the Ticketshop 1 outside and the Infocounter Nord inside the arena.
