Noon draw goes romantic

A favourite wedding's location in Cologne will witness how two new pairs will be put together in a short but important ceremony next week. On Tuesday 21 April at noon the semi-finals draw of the VELUX EHF FINAL4 will be hosted by a romantic setting of Palais Flora in the heart of Botanic Garden.

More than one month before the opening throw-off of the season's climax the semi-finals draw will determine for four remaining teams their second to last hurdles on the way to the most coveted trophy in club handball.

The VELUX EHF FINAL4 draw will start at 12:00 hrs local time and will be preceded by the official press conference at 11:30, which will be attended also by Lord Mayor of City of Cologne Jürgen Roters.

Open draw

All four teams will be drawn from the same pot. The VELUX EHF FINAL4 draw will be completely open, what means that two teams from the same country can face each other in the semi-final (if both Veszprem and Szeged qualify) and also two teams who already played together in the group phase.

The playing times of the semi-final matches will be announced at Tuesday's press conference.

Live coverage

The whole event starting at 11:30 hrs will be streamed live and free on ehfTV.com. The ehfTV commentator Tom O’Brannagain will guide all viewers through the event and will also interview all club representatives right after the draw with their immediate reactions.

Fans will be also able to follow the live ticker on the official website www.eurohandball.com or the live tweeting on the official @ehfCL channel.

No team through yet

None of the teams for the VELUX EHF FINAL4 has been confirmed yet, but some teams are close to their tickets to Cologne after the first leg. Both FC Barcelona and Vive Tauron Kielce packed a two-goal cushion from their first leg games against HC PPD Zagreb and HC Vardar respectively.

The remaining fixtures of MKB-MVM Veszprem vs PSG Handball and THW Kiel vs MOL-Pick Szeged remain wide open.
