LANXESS arena still number 1

The 40,000 fans that fill Cologne’s LANXESS arena for the VELUX EHF FINAL4 every year since 2010 cannot be wrong.

It is not only during the two-day handball event that the 20,000 capacity arena becomes a lion’s den, it is in fact the most visited arena in Germany.

1,498,574 visitors came in 2014 to 158 events at LANXESS arena, a rise of 8.16 per cent in comparison with last year (1,385,509).

O2 World in Berlin (1,213,165) and Hamburg (1,068,567) follow in second and third place in 2014.

The 2015 VELUX EHF FINAL4 is set for 30 and 31 May and another 40,000 spectators are expected to descend upon LANXESS arena once again.
