NEWS REPORT: In the upcoming three weeks journalists will be able to submit their accreditation requests for the Women's EHF FINAL4, VELUX EHF FINAL4 and EHF Cup Finals.
Media accreditation for three pinnacles starts soon
The preparations for the three pinnacles of the European handball club season are in full swing and the EHF Media & Communications department will be soon starting the accreditation procedure for media professionals for these events.
On Tuesday 17 February the media accreditation for the Women's EHF FINAL4 will be launched. The second edition of the season ending highlight of women's handball will return to the Papp Laszlo Budapest Sportarena on 9 and 10 May as the continent's top four teams will descend on the Hungarian capital to battle out a new trophy of the European top flight.
More information on the Women's EHF FINAL4 can be found here.
One week later, on Tuesday 24 February during the Last 16 draw of the VELUX EHF Champions League, the media accreditation for the VELUX EHF FINAL4 will be open. For the sixth time in row the climax of the club season takes place at LANXESS arena in Cologne, Germany. The semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday 30 May and the third place match and final for Sunday 31 May.
More information on the VELUX EHF FINAL4 can be found here.
Following the successful 2014 EHF Cup Finals in Berlin last year, the third top event of the club season will return to the same venue. Max-Schmeling-Halle will once again welcome the four best teams of the Men's EHF Cup on 16 and 17 May. As both winners of the two previous editions, Rhein-Neckar Löwen and Pick Szeged, play in the VELUX EHF Champions League this season, the new winner will be crowned in the German capital after the final on Sunday 17 May. Media accreditiation for the event will be launched on Tuesday 3 March.
More information on the EHF Cup Finals can be found here.
The start of the accreditation procedures for all three events will be announced on the EHF official websites – www.eurohandball.com, respectively www.ehfcl.com and www.ehfFINAL4.com, where also the link to the accreditation forms will be released.
The EHF prides itself on its positive and cooperative relationship with the press and media. All handball journalists can find all essential information on the EHF events including media guides also in the Media Portal.
In addition, all three events offer much more to the media representatives than standard sport tournaments, providing a direct access to the athletes not only in the mixed zones and the press conference rooms. One day prior to the semi-final games, media calls are organised to give journalists an opportunity to talk to the players or coaches in a relaxed atmosphere.
In cooperation with the AIPS (International Sports Press Association) the media-get-together evening will be organised on Saturday, 30 May in Cologne. Similar social events will also take place in Budapest and Berlin.
