New trophy arrives in Cologne
Three months before four best teams of the VELUX EHF Champions League make their way to the 2015 VELUX EHF FINAL4 the new trophy of the most prestigious club handball competition has been unveiled on the fringes of the Cologne Sport Year 2015 press conference.
The typical hand-styled trophy will be under spotlight again on 31 May in front of 20.000 spectators in the LANXESS arena after the final whistle of the tournament's final.
With still two rounds of the group phase to be played most of the teams still have a good chance to enter the knock-out stage of the competition and many thrilling moments are guaranteed as Last 16 games will be played in March and quarter-finals in April.
The European Handball Federation is also the 2015 official partner of the City of Cologne.
The VELUX EHF FINAL4 will take place in the LANXESS arena for the sixth time and the season's highlight event will make sure that the hosting city will be once again firm in the grip of handball fans on the last weekend of May (30-31 May).
