Boarding for Last 16 to be completed

With seven teams ready for the Last 16 of the Men's Challenge Cup, nine more places are at stake this weekend, when the second leg of six ongoing ties are being played, while six teams start all over and decide everything this Saturday and Sunday, where three double headers are taking place.

Already last weekend, Red Boys Differdange secured Luxembourg at least one representative in the Last 16 through a huge double win against Ankara II Özel Idare.

This weekend, HB Dudelange are going to try to follow their countrymen to the next round, when they received RK Boka from Montenegro for two matches in the Centre Sportif René Hartmann.

While Dudelange have a long European history, having taken part in all European Cup competition over the years, Boka are new in Europe this season, and their weekend in Luxembourg will give them their first two European Cup matches.

Manchester United are playing at home against Hull in the Premier League already at 15.00 Saturday afternoon, while City are playing away against Southampton Sunday, so this should give the spectators enough time to go to the Trafford Sport Dome on both days for the double header between the local handball heroes from Warrington Wolves HC and HC Holon from Israel. The first match is Saturday night with the second leg Sunday afternoon.

Last season, Cocks from Riihimäki in Finland reached the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup.

This season, the Finnish team is back in the competition again, this time under the somewhat longer name Käsipalloseura Riihimäen Cocks ry.

They will be going to try for more Challenge Cup success at home in the Sisu Arena in nearby Karjaa this weekend, where there opponents in the double header Saturday and Sunday will be the entirely Georgian outfit from European debutants Samtredia.
