Tickets for 2015 Women's EHF FINAL4 go on sale

163 days before the 2015 Women's EHF FINAL4 throws off in Budapest’s Papp László Sportaréna, tickets for the final weekend of the Women’s EHF Champions League have gone on sale.

Up to 12,000 spectators will be able to follow the event on 9/10 May 2015 in the Hungarian capital and as of today a first batch of 3,000 tickets has been released.

Tickets can be purchased via the official website, www.ehfFINAL4.com, and are available in four different categories. All tickets are always valid for both playing days.

  • Category 1: 39,990 HUF (approx. 130 €)
  • Category 2: 27,990 HUF (approx. 90 €)
  • Category 3: 19,990 HUF (approx.65 €)
  • Category 4: 9,990 HUF (approx. 35 €)

Following its successful premiere in 2014, when Györi Audi ETO KC lifted the trophy after a hotly contested final against Buducnost, the EHF and EHF Marketing reached an agreement with the Hungarian Handball Federation as local organisers that sees the Women’s EHF FINAL4 being staged in Budapest in 2015 and 2016.

"We are really happy to co-host the most prestigious event in women’s club handball for another two years in the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna," says Iván Vetési, President of the Hungarian Handball Federation.

"We count on the fantastic atmosphere similar to 2014 and hope that fans of the four teams will create an unforgettable FINAL4 weekend."

"Signing the two-year agreement until 2016 gives us stability and security to further develop the Women's EHF FINAL4; very similar to the VELUX EHF FINAL4 that has taken place in Cologne since 2010 and has truly become a showpiece event for European club handball," says Peter Vargo, Managing Director of EHF Marketing.

EHF President Jean Brihault says: "It’s great to see that after the Women's EHF FINAL4 last year and the Women’s EHF EURO 2014 in December, Hungary will once again stage one of our flagship events.

"Handball is one of the nation’s most-watched sports and we know that the 2015 Women’s EHF FINAL4 will once again attract fans from across Europe."

Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest to produce new winners’ trophy

After 21 years the winners of the Women's EHF Champions League will lift a new trophy.

EHF Marketing has started cooperating with the Budapest-based Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design for the production of a new trophy which will be awarded for the first time at the 2015 Women's EHF FINAL4.

The creative lead for the design of the new trophy lies with renowned Hungarian glass artist Borbás Dorka.

"Share & win" competition sees four tickets given away on Facebook

To celebrate the start of ticket sales, EHF Marketing and the Hungarian Handball Federation will give away 2 x 2 tickets for the event to Europe’s handball fans.

On Thursday, 27 November, a graphic will be posted on the EHF Champions League’s and the Hungarian Handball Federation’s Facebook pages. Everyone who shares this graphic on Facebook will enter the draw for the tickets.
