Rob Fowler returns to LANXESS arena
Five months after his impressive show at the 2014 VELUX EHF FINAL4, British performer Rob Fowler is set to return to the “scene of the crime”. This time in a different role as the charismatic singer won a London casting for a cult musical “Rocky Horror Show”.
The new tour of the Richard O’Brien’s cult musical starts in the LANXESS arena in Cologne on Tuesday 28 October and will visit 19 cities in five European countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Italy).
Fowler will be starring as one of the main characters “Frank’n’Furter” – the role in which he already claimed a very positive critical response in his premiere in 2008.
”Rob Fowler has been by far the best Frank‘n‘Furter, since Tim Curry retired,“ die Berliner Zeitung praised him after a premiere in the Admiralspalast in Berlin.
The British singer is no newcomer on the international musical stages with performances in many musical highlights including WE WILL ROCK YOU and Hairspray. As a composer, writer and frontman of the Rockband Morton he recorded several successes in Austrian charts. He also reached the semi-final of The Voice of Germany.
In 2013 he had his premiere at the VELUX EHF FINAL4 together with three other Voice of Germany singers. The following season he presented the new official VELUX EHF Champions League song “Do it like us” and the new video for the song was recently released. You can download the song from iTunes.
"It´s a good feeling to come back to Cologne´s LANXESS arena in my new role where I first met the handball family and had a great time in 2013 and 2014. 'Do it like us' has become a part of me and I'm very proud to see this song as an integral part of the VELUX EHF Champions League. People all over Europe like the song so far and it's fascinating to have one common song for the European handball fans," said Fowler.
