New Zagreb coach must serve out two match suspension before taking the reins at Zagreb in European competition
Two match suspension remains for Veselin Vujovic
The EHF has informed the club HC Prvo Plinarsko Drustvo Zagreb that its new coach, Veselin Vujovic, will not be able to take up his duties in European competitions just yet.
On 24 January 2013, the EHF announced that the EHF Court of Handball had reached a decision in a case concerning the coach during his time as coach of Macedonian club HC Vardar PRO-Skopje.
Vujovic was directly disaqualifed by the referees in the 2012/13 Men’s EHF Cup Round 3 match between SC Magdeburg (GER) – HC Vardar PRO-Skopje (MKD), which took place on 23 November 2012, and was given a fine and suspended from European competitions for two games.
The two match suspension has yet to be served, which means that the coach will have to wait before he can coach his new club, Zagreb, in the VELUX EHF Champions League.
