Video clip of the official song “Do it like us“ to be released next Thursday

Europe's premier club handball competition, the VELUX EHF Champions League, will launch its 22nd season on 25 September, when Kadetten Schaffhausen take on KS Vive Tauron Kielce. For the first time also with the official song “Do it like us“ sung by Rob Fowler.

After live shows at the 2014 VELUX EHF FINAL4 and large exposure on popular online platforms, the song will be also available as a video clip from next Thursday. This song gives the VELUX EHF Champions League its musical spirit that will guarantee recognition from sports fans all around Europe.

"Do it like us" is a song, which combines heroic lyrics such as “Think big & blow up your screen“ with rhythmic elements and activates the necessary join-the-party spirit.

In cooperation with the German-based film production company Mr-Zero scenery combining artistic, athletic and dramatic aspects was created for the song. The footage comes from shooting made directly during the 2014 VELUX EHF FINAL4 in Cologne's LANXESS arena and action from the matches.

The film was shot on three consecutive event days (30 May – 1 June) in Cologne. In addition to the spectacular shooting on the roof of the LANXESS arena, there are also scenes in the dressing rooms and a night session in the empty LANXESS arena. Moreover, scenes during the opening show for the first semi-final between Veszprem and Kiel and the angle of view from the perspective of fans and international commentators were used.

The competition's best-known voice cannot be missed, as the original quotes of the commentator Tom O Brannagain were added both to the song and the video. All this mixed with the most spectacular scenes of the event in Cologne presents the competition’s first music video as another milestone in the development of the VELUX EHF Champions League.

"The idea of our own title song has been here for a few years. In Rob Fowler we have found the right singer and now our next aim is to use this tool in the development and marketing of the premium-product of handball, and also to address new target groups,” said Peter Vargo, the Managing Director of EHF Marketing.

From 25 September the “Do it like us“ song will be played in arenas all over Europe right before the starting whistle of each VELUX EHF Champions League match in order to help spectators create the right atmosphere for the Europe's best players and teams.
