RoboKeeper came, saw and conquered

Saturday 6 September was a record-breaking day in the handball world, as 44,189 spectators enjoyed an action packed day at Frankfurt’s Commerzbank-Arena for the German ‘Day of handball’.

Away from the action on the court, one of the most attractive activities was the VELUX RoboKeeper, brought as part of the VELUX EHF FINAL4’s representation at the event.

There was a constant queue of enthusiastic fans and young handball players waiting to take on the fastest goalkeeper in the world.

The penalties came thick and fast throughout the day, with the RoboKeeper showing tireless effort. Even handball legends Lars Christiansen, Johan Peterson, Markus Baur and Christian Schwarzer stopped by and took up the challenge before hitting the court for the celebrity match between teams led by Stefan Kretzschmar and television presenter Frank Buschmann.

Four lucky fans got much more than they bargained for at the ‘Day of handball’ when they discovered that they had won tickets to the 2015 VELUX EHF FINAL4.

They will be among the 20,000 spectators in LANXESS arena on 30 and 31 May to watch the world’s best handball players competing for the prestigious VELUX EHF Champions League title.
