VELUX EHF Champions League becomes new partner of Partille Cup

While memories of the most important event of the club season – the VELUX EHF FINAL4 are still fresh in minds of all handball lovers, the world’s biggest youth tournament is already on the starting blocks. Renown as a talent factory, the Partille Cup takes place in Göteborg, Sweden for the 45th time from 30 June to 5 July.

For the first time the handing over of the baton between these two competitions will not only be symbolic as the VELUX EHF Champions League becomes the new event partner of Partille Cup.

No fewer than 20,000 athletes from over 1,000 teams and more than 40 countries will take part at the upcoming edition. The new cooperation starting at this year’s event has a very logical background as countless players, coaches and even many big stars of the present VELUX EHF Champions League participated at the Partille Cup in the past.

The VELUX EHF Champions League will be present in Göteborg as a new event partner and among other activities will, for example, offer a chance for all players or spectators to test their shooting skills against RoboKeeper – the world’s fastest goalkeeper. The “Man against Machine” competition will be a great challenge for both amateur and professional players or “laymen” as RoboKeeper has already proven himself as an excellent shot-stopper denying 85 percent of all attempts.

The VELUX EHF Champions League is looking forward to a new partnership and to a chance to welcome many rising stars and future key players of professional handball courts in Göteborg.
