Sulic suspended for one game

The EHF Disciplinary Commission has announced its decision following a proceeding against Renato Sulic. The Veszprem line player received a direct disqualification after hitting Patrick Wiencek with his elbow in the 43rd minute of the Match.

The Disciplinary Commission has carefully examined and evaluated the available report, the statement of the club, as well as the video of the incident. Based on the report of the referees and on the video of the match, the Disciplinary Commission considers the action to be an unsportsmanlike act presenting a danger for the health integrity of the opponent.

The EHF Disciplinary Commission finds that the behaviour of the Player is not a reaction to his opponent grabbing him but a reckless reaction being regarded as unsportsmanlike.

Disciplinary Commission decides to impose one match suspension on the player, who is therefore not eligible to play the 2013/2014 VELUX EHF FINAL4 match: FC Barcelona vs. MKB-MVM Veszprem.
