Five fans could interact in the first hangout session with four big names of the event, just several hours before the opening throw-off of the tournament.
Stars reveal secrets in the Google hangout
Five lucky fans had the chance to join the first VELUX EHF FINAL4 Players Hangout hosted by the ehfTV commentator Tom O Brannagain with four players - Laszlo Nagy (MKB-MVM Veszprem), Dominik Klein (THW Kiel), Victor Tomas (FC Barcelona) and Lasse Svan (SG Flensburg-Handewitt) starring.
The fans were from different corners of the world as Katrin took part from Berlin, Martin from Cologne, where he had cycled all the way from Sweden, Fredrik joined from Australia, Renate from Norway, while Rodrigo connected from distant Brazil to ask Lasse Svan about his superstitions. Lasse did not reveal them to make sure they still work, but Dominik Klein addmitted: "I need a cold shower before and after the match."
Talking about responsibilities in the teams, Laszlo Nagy described his "babysitting" duties to Veszprem's young player Iman Jamali. "I'm his father," he said.
Left-handed but right-footed Victor Tomas takes care of organising welcome dinners for newcomers to the Barcelona team to make sure he gets served good food. He is the only player participating in the Google hangout that did not make it on one of the elevators in the teams' hotel - "I'm too small to fill the doors so they had to take Karabatic," FC Barcelona captain explained his absence.
Asked after entertaining 30 minutes for who will win this weekend, most of the fans participating in the hangout voted for THW Kiel.
