Nagy: I don't need a tour guide

Hi everyone!

I hope you are fine and haven’t had enough of handball already.

Big things are going to happen very soon and I am so wound up I am counting the days.

A journey to remember

The VELUX EHF FINAL4 is upon us and now that we succesfully defended our domestic titles all we can think of is Cologne.

There were fears that we would miss two of our important team mates but it seems both Iman Jamali and Nándor Fazekas will make it to Germany.

I don’t know much about curing injuries – thank God I have always been a fit player and never had to miss more than a couple of weeks due to injury – but it is amazing how developed modern medicine is.

Fazék broke a carpal bone 16 days ago and today he trained with us.

We are ready for the trip to Cologne the team will arrive on Thursday so that we will have time to get to know the place.

I personally don’t need a tour guide for that as I have been privileged to play and win at LANXESS but it will be a totally different tournament this year.

Lot to rest up for

Although I am 100 percent focused on the upcoming duties I am really looking forward to the summer, too. After the VELUX EHF FINAL4 Hungary take on Slovenia for a world cup qualifier but that still won’t be enough of handball for me. I will host a handball camp for children in Veszprém, which I have been doing for some years now.

I have plans to go to the Street Music Festival is Veszprém, which is a hell of a party. Veszprém is a small town and for me it is never easy to get lost in the crowd anyway but you just have to love how supporters love this team here. Sometimes I get tired of taking pictures and signing t-shirts but I always remind myself that these are the fans who travel the world to help us gain victories with their support.

Then I am off to Corfu for two weeks with my family. Don’t worry about scooter accidents, first I am prohibited from riding one, second we will spend the two weeks on a boat. After all I will have a lot to rest up for, right?

One step at the time

I know how much it takes out of a player to play two such intense games in 30 hours but apart from the fact that we are aware of that we do not care about the final, yet. Us players do not have to. Our coaches have done all the preparation and we will be ready for the final if we get to play in it. But our concern is Kiel, not the final.

This is going to be a hell of a weekend, don’t you agree?

I hope to see you courtside. Cheer for us and we’ll bring you the show, I promise!

That’s it for now, I hope you enjoyed it.

Love

Laci
