NEWS REPORT: German goalkeeper to remain at the MVM EHF FINAL4 participants for a sixth season
One more year for Englert
MVM EHF FINAL4 participants FC Midtjylland have extended their contract with goalkeeper Sabine Englert for another year.
The 32-year-old former German international has been with the club since 2009, and the latest extension means that she is going to stay with the ruling Danish champions until at least the summer of 2015.
“I feel really well in FC Midtjylland. We have good team, the girls are nice, and we have good coach. So why should I change?
“I am happy to be in Denmark, and I think that the level is still higher in Denmark than in Germany. Next weekend the FINAL4 is waiting for us and that will be fantastic. Of course we are not favourites, but we will fight as much as possible in Budapest,” Sabine Englert said, as the extension of her contract was announced.
“It is really cool that Sabine is going to stay with us. She is in the top five among the world´s best goalkeepers. Sabine is a big part of what we have been building, and she is an important part of our concept.
“She is crucial player for us, and she will also be next season. It sends a fine signal that such a good player, who has so many options, chooses to stay with us ,” FC Midtjylland´s head coach Helle Thomsen added.
