EHF EURO 2016 Qualification draw streamed live on official website

Handball fans from all over the world can tune in live, when the qualification groups for the EHF EURO 2016 in Poland are drawn at the Polish Olympic Committee in Warsaw today (Friday, 11 April).

The event starts at 11:30 hrs (local time) and will be streamed on the event's official website as well as on the EHF EURO Youtube channel.

On the occasion of the draw, the official event website, www.ehf-euro.com, will also see the light of day.

The event website gives fans an immediate insight into the event's Facebook page and Twitter channel.

It furthermore offers regular news updates, photos, an overview of the qualification phase and information on host venues and regions.

More features will become available in the coming months.

Qualification overview

Following a first qualification phase that started already in October 2012 and intermediate play-offs that were played at the beginning of April 2014, there are now 28 teams left that vie for one of the 15 open spots – Poland as hosts are directly qualified – at the final tournament.

These 28 teams will be drawn into seven groups of four teams each. The top two ranked teams of each group and the best third ranked team overall will qualify.

The first qualification matches will be played at the end of October 2014. The final tournament throws off from 15 to 31 January 2016.
