Hungarian energy company becomes title sponsor of the MVM EHF FINAL4

MVM Magyar Villamos Művek Zrt. has signed a contract with the Hungarian Handball Federation to become title sponsor of the pinnacle of women’s club handball.

The MVM EHF FINAL4 will be organised on 3-4 May 2014 at the Papp László Sportaréna in Budapest, Hungary.

MVM Group exclusively sponsors sporting competitions, national and international events as well as teams, in order to increase civil responsibility of sport and promote a healthy lifestyle.

MVM has been sponsoring Győri Audi ETO KC since 2013, and is the title sponsor of MKB-MVM Veszprém, becoming one of the most significant local sponsors of handball in Hungary.

“It’s a big responsibility for all successful companies to support the realisation of social aims and extraordinary results – both in the culture and sports,” said György Felkai, communications director of the MVM Group.

“The strategic aim of MVM Zrt. is to gain a significant role in energetics on a regional level. This can be supported with sponsoring athletes, teams and events, whose results could increase the reputation of MVM. We have given much “energy” to the best teams of Hungarian handball to date, and now we are proud to become the title sponsor of the first MVM EHF FINAL4.

"We believe that this event will increase both the country’s and our group’s reputation in Hungary and international level, as well.”

The venue of the first MVM EHF FINAL4 is Papp László Budapest Sportaréna.

The semi-finals will commence on 3 May, with defending champions Győri Audi ETO KC taking on Danish side FC Midtjylland at 15:00 hrs local time, followed by Macedonian team ZRK Vardar SCBT against Buducnost Podgorica of Montenegro at 17.30 hrs. Sunday will begin with the 3/4 place match at 14.30 hrs, before the final at 17:00 hrs.
