Montpellier face Nantes in all-French quarter-final

There will be one French team in the EHF Cup Finals this season as the quarter-final draw of the Men's EHF Cup paired the 2003 EHF Champions League winners Montpellier Agglomeration HB with their domestic rivals HB Nantes who finished second last year at the premiere edition.

"We are not happy, this is not good for the competition. Nantes are a good team and it will be a tough match. It's good that we play the second game at home. Normally that's an advantage," said Montpellier president, Robert Molines

Sweden's dark horse of the competition Lugi HF will face Romanian champions HCM Constanta and the 2010 Challenge Cup winners Sporting CP  will meet Hungarian runners-up Pick Szeged.

"Getting to Berlin would mean quite a lot to us. It is some good time ago that Lugi has been so present on a European Cup level," said Lugi's Anders Eriksson.

The first leg matches will be played over 19/20 April on courts of the Pot 2 teams, the second leg is scheduled for 26/27 April on courts of the Pot 1 teams.

Füchse Berlin have clinched a direct ticket to the EHF Cup Finals as the hosts of the final tournament won the Group D.

EHF Cup Quarter-finals pairings:

Lugi HF (SWE) vs HCM Constanta (ROU)

Sporting CP (POR) vs Pick Szeged (HUN)

Montpellier Agglomeration HB (FRA) vs HBC Nantes (FRA)
