Become an EHF Young Reporter at the Women’s EHF FINAL4 in Budapest

Following the successful implementation of the first EHF Young Reporters programme at the Men’s EHF EURO 2014 in January, the EHF Media and Communications Department is once again looking for young reporters to join its team.

This time there is a chance to work alongside the EHF Media Team at the inaugural edition of the Women’s EHF FINAL4 which takes place in Budapest on 3 and 4 May.

The programme's main facts:

  • The EHF Young Reporters’  team will consist of four journalists overall.
  • Online media training will be provided in the lead-up to the event and a workshop with all selected candidates will be held in Hungary prior to the Women’s EHF FINAL4.
  • The young reporters will interview players after the matches. They will cover press conferences and they will get the opportunity to write stories. Their work will be published on the event’s official website, www.ehfFINAL4.com.
  • The working and writing language will be English and Hungarian. Candidates are required to have at least a proficient level of written as well as spoken English. The ability to speak other languages such as Macedonian, German, Danish or Serbian will be considered an asset.

  • Candidates will be between 18 and 25 and will, preferably, already have some experience working in the media. Each candidate must submit a CV and a short motivational essay in English (approx. 500 words). Strong supporting references and evidence of published work will be an advantage.
  • Applications have to be submitted by email to the EHF Media and Communications Department who is solely responsible for choosing the candidates
  • The EHF will provide the selected candidates with full media accreditation for the duration of their work at the Women’s EHF FINAL4. They will receive meals while working and will be supplied with event clothing. Unfortunately, no further expenses can be covered by the EHF.

The deadline for applications is 28 March 2014. CV and motivational letter are to be sent to media@eurohandball.com
