Draw procedure and seedings for Men's 18 EHF EURO in Poland released

The European Handball Federation has released the draw procedure and seedings for the Men's 18 EHF EURO Final Tournament Draw.

The event will take place on 9 April at 17:30 hrs. in Poland's capital, Warsaw. The final tournament itself throws off from 14 to 24 August in Gdansk and Gdynia.

The qualification tournaments in January 2014 saw 15 teams joining the hosts, Poland, for this younger age category event.

Based on the nations' ranking at the Men's 18 EHF EURO 2012 and the qualification results the teams have been seeded in the following pots:

  • Pot 1: Germany, Sweden, France, Spain
  • Pot 2: Russia, Croatia, Belarus, Serbia
  • Pot 3: Romania, Poland, Denmark, Switzerland
  • Pot 4: Czech Republic, Iceland, Hungary, FYR Macedonia

At the draw the teams from each pot will be drawn to either Group A,B, C or D with Poland as organiser having the right to choose their group after the teams from Pots 4, 3 and 1 have been drawn.

Immediately after the draw the results will be published on eurohandball.com.
