NEWS REPORT: The English live commentary of Tom O Brannagain from Copenhagen, Minsk and Kielce in the last three rounds of the VELUX EHF Champions League.
MOTW moves to Denmark, Belarus and Poland
The EHF EURO 2014 in Denmark is over and the focus of all handball fans is now shifting back to the VELUX EHF Champions League, which will resume in February with last three rounds of the group phase. Fans across the world will be served with three more "Matches of the Week“ (MOTW) on ehfTV.com.
These top matches will include a free of charge live web stream with English commentary by Tom O Brannagain. They also offer additional footage and special camera setups.
The eighth edition of this season's MOTW series will see Tom visiting the Danish capital on Sunday, 9 February as he will cover the fight for the first position in Group B between KIF Kolding Kobenhavn and THW Kiel.
"Denmark truly was the 'Heart of Handball' for the month of January and a return for the KIF vs Kiel MOTW bodes well for those of us suffering handball withdrawal symptoms. A top of the table in the Bronby Arena promises to be a classic,“ ehfTV commentator says.
The Round 9 will bring a big premiere of MOTW in Belarus as Tom will make his first ever trip to this country. Handball in Belarus is booming and Dinamo holds this season attendance record for the European top flight as 15,320 spectators flocked to the Minsk Arena for the match against FC Barcelona.
"Minsk vs Metalurg is a must win for Minsk. The team, with the greatest attendance so far this season, in arguably one of the most beautiful cities, needs a a win to keep their hopes alive. It's a long trip, but the architecture and the match will make it worthwhile,“ O Brannagain explains.
His last group phase journey will lead him to Poland for the third MOTW derby in this season. After all-German and all-Macedonian matches two fierce Polish rivals – KS Vive Targi Kielce and Orlen Wisla Plock will face each other in the Hala Legionow.
"Kielce vs Plock is a chance to witness first hand the derby craze in Poland. It is a clash of two extraordinary Spanish coaches, Manolo, a bronze medalist in Denmark and Talant having had two CL matches with Kielce prior to this. It will be a glimpse at how both teams are faring just before the knockout stages,“ Tom concludes.
