NEWS REPORT: EHF Court of Handball reaches decision in the case of the use of laser pointers in the Women's EHF Champions League match HCM Baia Mara against Thüringer HC
Warning for HCM Baia Mare
The EHF Court of Handball has released its decision following proceedings against the club HCM Baia Mare (ROU).
The club hosted the 2013/2014 Women’s EHF Champions League match: HCM Baia Mare (ROU) vs. HC Thüringer (GER) which took place in Baia Mare on 10 November 2013.
Laser pointers were targeted at players at the guest team by spectators during the match.
The EHF Court of Handball finds therefore that the Romanian club failed to ensure its obligation of good order, safety and security of the participants as defined in the EHF Rules on Safety and Security Procedure as well as in the 2013/2014 Women’s EHF Champions League Regulations.
A warning is imposed on the club according to article B.4 of the EHF List of Penalties.
