Turkish and Israeli federations fined

Two decisions were released by the competent EHF Administrative bodies following shortcomings in the organisation of international matches.

Consequently, the decisions may be summarised as follows:

According to point F.a) of the EHF Catalogue of Administrative Sanctions, the Turkish Handball Federation is sanctioned with a €1,000 fine for failure to attend the press conference after the Women’s EHF EURO 2014 Qualification match Spain vs Turkey, played on 24 October 2013.

According to point C.b) of the EHF Catalogue of Administrative Sanctions, The Handball Federation of Israel is sanctioned with a €2,000 fine for failure to set-up handball goals in accordance with the applicable regulations during the 2015 Men’s World Championship Qualification Europe match Israel vs Netherlands, played on 3 November 2013.

An appeal may be filed with the EHF Court of Appeal within seven days.
