Eastern Europe Regional Seminar held in Latvia
Officials from the European Handball Federation met in Riga, Latvia on 2 and 3 October 2013 with representatives from the handball federations of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine.
The Eastern Europe Regional Handball Seminar focused on the present and future developments of handball in Eastern Europe.
During the course of the visit the EHF President, Jean Brihault, and Secretary General, Michael Wiederer, met with the President of the Latvian Olympic Committee, Aldonis Vrubļevska.
A SMART agreement, an official EHF development programme, for the promotion of mini handball in the country was also signed with the Latvian Handball Federation.
