Champions Cup to be launched in 2014

Beach handball is to take another step forward in its development in 2014 with the organisation of the first Champions Cup for national beach champions.

Following the agreement of the EHF Executive at its meeting on 20 September 2013 in Montenegro, the two-day competition is set to take place on 1/2 November 2014 in southern Europe.

16 teams will travel to the event to compete to become beach champions of Europe.

The competition will be played with eight men’s team and eight women’s teams, with each competition played in four groups of two leading to semi-finals and finals on the last day.

A top beach handball coaching course is also going to be held parallel to the event.
