EHF Marketing seeks sponsorship sales manager
The daughter-company and marketing arm of the EHF is looking to employ someone with a strong sales track record and experience of working within the sports industry.
Sponsorship sales manager - job specification
• International sales of sponsorship rights
• Conduct sales process from identification of key prospects, to negotiations and contract signature
• Develop and maintain a network of international contacts
• Create sponsorship offerings and presentation material
• Contribute to long-term sales and marketing strategy
Key experience
• Sales professional with at least three years’ experience in a sales role within the sports market
• Track record of successful sports sponsorship sales
• Ability to influence, persuade and sell global pan-European sponsorship platforms
• Ability to find new revenue streams, build relationships and negotiate at management board level
• Network of contacts with international brands and potential sponsors
• Experience of working in an international environment, dealing with global issues, across different cultures and languages
• An interest in or understanding of handball – a strong advantage
Key competencies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Independent and innovative thinker
• Excellent written and spoken English. Additional written/spoken European languages (especially German) extremely useful
• Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
