New TV channel for Macedonian fans

Fans of the VELUX EHF Champions League and Women’s EHF Champions in FYR Macedonia have a new destination to follow their favourite teams as they bid for European success.

The free-to-air station, Alfa TV, has signed a new two-year contract with EHF Marketing GmbH, in a deal that was brokered by leading media rights company MP & Silva.

Handball fans can look forward to coverage of HC Vardar PRO – Skopje in Group C of the VELUX EHF Champions League as they look to take on the might of all-time record holder FC Barcelona and newcomers Paris Saint Germain.

Wednesday throw-off

The first game to be shown on the channel will be on Wednesday, 28 August as HC Metalurg play Hungary’s Pick Szeged in the first leg of their wild card qualification.

Alfa TV will also show the Women’s EHF Champions League qualification tournament involving WHC Vardar SCBT on 14/15 September and the rest of their campaign in the competition should they qualify.

The channel will all of the Macedonian teams’ home and away matches, the ‘Rewind – the Handball Show’ magazine show and also the highpoint of the season, the VELUX EHF FINAL4 on 31 may and 1 June 2013.
