Gino Strezovski resigns

FYR Macedonia's women's national team will go into the upcoming qualification for the EHF EURO 2014 in Hungary and Croatia with a new head coach.

The nation's handball federation on Friday announced that head coach Gino Strezovski resigned after being at the helm of the women's national team for three years.

Strezovski led FYR Macedonia to the EHF EURO 2012 in Serbia where the team did not make it past the group stage.

In the qualification process for the 2011 and 2013 Women's World Championship, FYR Macedonia on both occasions was ousted by Spain in the European play-off matches.

The Macedonian handball federation announced that it is actively looking for a new coach, who will be presented in due time.

FYR Macedonia will face Russia and Germany in Qualification Group 7.
