EHF seeks freelance journalists

Ahead of the start of the new season the European Handball Federation is looking for freelance journalists to join its network of reporters around Europe providing online content.

The EHF Media and Communications department in Vienna is responsible for providing content for all of the EHF’s websites (including eurohandball.com, ehfCL.com and ehf-euro.com), covering events and competitions throughout the year including the VELUX EHF Champions League and Women’s EHF Champions League, European Cup competitions and European Championships.

Journalists should be able to write good quality internet style reports, features and interviews in English. A background and knowledge of handball as well as contacts with clubs, federations and personalities within the sport are also essential.

Applications from reporters in Hungary, Poland, Russia and Spain are especially welcome. Payments are made on a freelance basis for each piece of work commissioned for use on the EHF websites.

Applications should be addressed to JJ Rowland, Head of Media and Communications and sent to media@eurohandball.com, with a covering letter, current CV and links to previous published work. An example or link to a report written in English should also be included.
