With still more than four months to go until the Men's EHF EURO 2014 in Denmark, the final tournament already proves to be a major crowd puller with more than half of the tickets available already sold. However, there are still many chances to see your favourite team take to the court
Half of the tickets already sold
The handball fever has hit Denmark even months before it is time to sweat it out.
With more than 140 days to go until the final tournament throws off on 12 January, 84,000 tickets have already been sold.
With 170,000 tickets overall available, it means that the 50 per cent-mark has already been reached, the Danish Handball Federation stated in a press release.
A large majority of tickets has been sold for the matches at the 14,000-capacity Jyske Bank Boxen which will host the Group A matches including hosts and EHF EURO 2012 champions Denmark as well as one of the two main round groups and the final weekend.
However, even for Jyske Bank Boxen tickets are available on four out of eight match days.
And there are many more exciting matches happening across Denmark, when - for example - the powerful nations of Russia, France, Serbia and Poland face off in Group C which is played in Aarhus.
The Brøndbyhallen near Copenhagen look forward to welcoming scores of Swedish fans when their team clashes with Croatia, Belarus and Montenegro in Group D.
And Norway hopes for strong support when they open the final tournament againt Iceland on 12 January before taking on world champions, Spain, and Hungary.
Tickets as well as hotel packages can purchased via www.ehf-euro.com, the event's official website.
