Call for organisers for 2014 IHF/EHF Women's Challenge Trophy

The 2014 IHF/EHF Women's Challenge Trophy is yet another opportunity for the emerging handball nations to take part in an international handball competition.

The event has been regularly taking place every two years since 2000 offering six to eight teams a taste of playing and organising an international tournament.

At the 2012 edition the hosts from Bulgaria overcame Faroe Islands in a goal-rich final 36:27.

The 2014 IHF/EHF Women's Challenge Trophy is scheduled to take place from 22 to 25 March (should there be six teams competing in one group (instead of eight squads divided in two groups of four teams each) the playing dates would change to 21 to 25 March 2014).

The European Handball Federation is now inviting its member federations to apply as organiser for the event.

The deadline for returning the application form and other necessary documents is 15 September 2013.

The event is then expected to be awarded to one of the applicants by the EHF Executive Committee at the end of September 2013.
