2nd EHF Scientific Conference takes place in November

The European Handball Federation and the Union of University Handball Teachers (UUHT) will hold the second edition of the EHF Scientific Conference (Scientific and Practical Approaches) in Vienna from 22 to 23 November 2013.

The goal of the conference is to bring professional and scientific experts together in order to describe and formulate problems of modern women‘s handball on all organisational levels and forms (male/female, youth, beach handball, street handball, handball for people with disabilities), mainly in the areas: 'Humanities', 'Natural Sciences' and 'Training and the Game'.

Three months out of the conference preparations are in full swing and many contributions have already been finalised.

60 abstracts (49 for oral presentation and 11 for poster presentation) for article publication have been received.

Furthermore a medical mini-symposium, consisting of four oral presentations by a group of Danish sports physicians, has been confirmed.

In the conference key notes, Carmen Manchado, member of the EHF Competitions Commission, will talk about physical and physiological performance factors in women's handball.

The key note of Frantisek Taborsky, former Chairman of the EHF Methods Commission, is titled "The Genders Comparison of Cumulative Indicators of Team Playing Performance on Olympic Games Handball Tournaments 2008 and 2012".

The deadline for registration and payment of the participation fee (50 euro) is 6 September 2013.
