Two best ranked teams and Denmark qualify directly for Junior World Championship

The IHF Council decided in their last meeting on 29 July 2013 in Sarajevo/BIH about a new edition of the Regulations of IHF Competitions, regarding the performance rows and participants of the upcoming World Championships from 2014 onwards.

This has an impact on the currently running Women’s 19 EHF EURO in Denmark.

With immediate effect the reigning winners of the previous Women’s and Men’s Youth World Championship qualify automatically for the next World Championship of the same age group and takes over place 1 in performance row 1.

This means for the running Women’s 19 EHF EURO in Denmark, that the reigning youth world champions of the age group 1994/95 Denmark, have automatically qualified for the Junior World Championship 2014 in Croatia.

As a consequence, the two best ranked teams of the Women’s 19 event, besides Denmark, will also qualify directly.
