EHF welcomes bids for the organisation of the Men's EHF Cup final tournament
Bidding opens for EHF Cup Finals 2014
It is only a few weeks since the first edition of the new Men’s EHF Cup came to an end with the final tournament in Nantes, France, but bidding has already opened for the second edition of the EHF Cup Finals.
The Men’s EHF Cup and the Men’s Cup Winners Cup were merged into one competition - the Men's EHF Cup - prior to the 2012/13 season.
The 2013/14 season will throw-off with three qualification rounds from September to November 2013, continue with a group phase consisting of four groups of four teams in February 2014 and quarter-finals before the top four teams take part in the EHF Cup Finals on 17/18 May 2014.
The EHF and its marketing arm, EHF Marketing GmbH, have now released a bidding document and are welcoming bids from clubs, agencies, arenas or any other institutions interested in hosting the EHF Cup Finals 2014.
The bids are to be submitted by 10 September 2013.
The successful host will need to meet a set of criteria that reflects the nature of a high-profile international club event such as the EHF Cup Finals.
