Norwegian men want to be among the best

Several recent injuries have not reduced the expectations of Norway´s beach handball men, they still want to be contesting the medals at the 2013 European Beach Handball Championship.

“A mix of experienced players and new names, but a squad which is well integrated,” coach Kjetil Lundeberg characterised the squad he has just nominated.

“We have been hit by some injuries lately, but that has not reduced our expectations. All the time we have said that our goal is qualifying for at least the semi-finals and that is still what we are aiming for. However, we will take it one match at a time,” Lundeberg told eurohandball.com.

The final test for the Norwegian team, the EBT tournament in Calella, Spain last weekend, ended for the Norwegians at the last 16 stage, but still the coach was content with the weekend.

“It was very good training for us, and we got to play a lot of matches. There are still some things in our game that we will have to work on, though, but I am sure that the remaining training sessions before the championship will be enough for us to catch up with that,” concluded Lundeberg.
