YAC European Beach Handball Championships throw off
Ten days of European beach handball in the Danish city of Randers throw off on Friday, 5 July, with eight women's 19 and men's 19 teams respectively competing for the European junior beach handball crown.
Matches start at 12:00 hrs on Friday, 5 July, with the official opening ceremony taking place at 16:00 hrs.
The younger age category tournament is the prelude to the 2013 European Beach Handball Championship in Randers which takes place from 9 to 14 July.

In the men's 19 event Russia, Switzerland, Norway and Spain have been seeded in group A, while Turkey, Hungary, Serbia and hosts Denmark make up group B.
Two years ago at the Men's 19 European Beach Handball Championship in Umag, the Croatian hosts (Croatia do not participate in 2013) prevailed ahead of Russia and Italy.

Russia will defend title in group of seven
In the women's 19 event the participating seven teams from Denmark, Hungary, Turkey, Norway, Russia, Spain and Switzerland have all been seeded in one group.
This group will be played in a round-robin system with the first four teams qualifying for the semi-finals.
Two years ago Hungary were crowned European junior champions, while Russia took the silver medal and Croatia gained bronze.

Entry to the event area for spectators is free. There are no tickets necessary.
