EHF EURO 2014 final tournament draw streamed live

The draw for the Men's EHF EURO 2014 takes place on 21 June 2013 at 18.30 hrs in Herning, Denmark.

Even without being there, you can be among the first to know which teams will be drawn to which preliminary round group as the whole event will be streamed live on the Men's EHF EURO 2014 official website, www.ehf-euro.com.

After the four preliminary groups have been drawn there will be interviews with several national team players who will be commenting on the draw results.

During the draw there will also be live tweets on the EHF Media and Communications Twitter channel, @ehfmedia.

Denmark, Norway, France and Sweden already seeded

Prior to the draw, Denmark, as the host nation, had the right to define one team per group.

Following that decision, Denmark are placed in group 1 which will be played in Herning at the 14,000-capacity Jyske Bank Boxen.

Norway (from pot 4) have been placed in group B, France in C and Sweden in D (both from pot 2) for the preliminary round.

For an overview, the 16 teams have been seeded as follows:

  • Pot 1: Denmark, Serbia, Croatia, Spain
  • Pot 2: Czech Republic, Iceland, France, Sweden
  • Pot 3: FYR Macedonia, Belarus, Hungary, Poland
  • Pot 4: Norway, Austria, Montenegro, Russia

Herning, Copenhagen, Aarhus and Aalborg are the selected hosting cities for the event's preliminary round.

Which venues will host groups B, C and D respectively is to be determined.
