Historic venue

Schönbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the imperial family, is one of Europe's most impressive Baroque palace complexes.
The Palace is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Vienna.

The Gloriette, situated in the gardens of the Schönbrunn Place, built in 1775 under the reign of Empress Maria Theresia is was intended as a ‘temple of glory’ and viewing point, later a location for dinners and festivities.

Following damage in the second world war, it was rebuilt and in 1995 essential restorations work was carried out. Since this time it is the home of one of Austria’s most beautiful Cafés – The Café Gloriette.
