The draw has been made for the Women’s 19 EHF EURO in Cologne

The draw was made by Per Bertelsen, President of the Danish Handball Federation and Leopold Kalin, Chairman of the Competitions Commission.

31 teams had entered and after all qualification tournaments have been played, the 13 squads, which will join Denmark, Norway and Russia, the three teams that were already qualified, have been confirmed.

Qualification tournaments saw the following teams go through: Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.

The Women's 19 EHF EURO 2013 throws off in Denmark from 1 to 11 August.

Based on the ranking of the 2011 Women's 17 European Championship and the results in the qualification groups, the participating teams are seeded as follows

Pot 1: Denmark, Norway, Hungary, Russia

Pot 2: France, Netherlands, Romania, Sweden

Pot 3: Croatia, Germany, Slovakia, Spain

Pot 4: Austria, Czech Republic, Portugal, Slovenia

At the draw, the teams from pot 2-4 were drawn to group A, B, C and D. Denmark, as the organisers, had the right to choose their group after rows 4, 3 and 2 were drawn.  Denmark chose group C. Afterwards, the remaining three teams were drawn to Group A, B and D.
