Tor Lian honoured with Medal of Merit

The lifetime work and achievements of Tor Lian, former President of the European Handball Federation, have been honoured in his native Norway with the awarding of the King's Medal of Merit.

The award, founded by King Haakon VII on 1 February 1908, and bestowed by the King of Norway, Harald V, is ‘a reward for service in the fields of art, science and industry and for outstanding public service’.
