Statements from the press conference after the Women’s EHF Champions League Final in Veszprém

Ambros: We only lived for that moment

Ole Gustav Gjekstad, coach Larvik HK: "Again it was a strange match against Győr like the three before. Every time we had ten bad minutes and every time we lost. Győr fully deserved the gold medals, as they were the best team of this season. We can be happy for reaching the finals, as my players showed a really good season."

Nora Mørk, player Larvik HK: "After my long-term injury it was great to be on the court. In my opinion Győr goalkeeper Katrine Lunde was the reason why we lost. Without her we might have had a chance to win or to have a different result, but she is the best goalkeeper of the world."

Ambros Martín, coach Audi ETO Győr: "I did not think any second about 2011, when I lost the finals against Larvik with Itxako. This year I first have to congratulate Larvik for two great matches. They were fighting until the end, and we had to concentrate every second. Thanks to my players, as looking upon the whole season they really deserved this trophy. And big thanks to the fans and to the club. I did not deal with the history that Győr lost those seven finals before. I did not feel any pressure, in contrast, it was great that we again reached the finals. We focused day by day to come so far, and I even do not think that was a pressure on the team. If there was a pressure it was a positive pressure. We learnt from the past and we only lived for that moment."

Katrine Lunde, goalkeeper Audi ETO Győr: "I feel really happy, as we played a really good season. Larvik were good in the finals, but we were better."
