High-flying singing stars to join party at the VELUX EHF FINAL4

In its first three years the VELUX EHF FINAL4 in Cologne has evolved in much more than a weekend of sporting excellence and its fourth edition is going to prove the reputation of a great social event as four high-flying singing stars will entertain 40.000 spectators in the LANXESS arena on 1 and 2 June. They will be one of the highlights of the weekend in Cologne.

“We guarantee a first class entertainment program for the whole weekend - not only on the playing court, but in and in front of the arena too. After last year’s great success with EUROPE band we wanted to improve again and we have invented a concept which will definitely attract spectators.

"All four singers are very young, strong and full of energy – exactly as we see ourselves and our event,” VELUX EHF FINAL4 Team leader David Szlezak said.

The entertainment program will reach another level in the upcoming edition as the new element, which will be revealed next week, will extend the action to another dimension. “We are going to fill not only the court but also the space above. The singers will offer the spectators a 4D performance which is a world premiere in handball,” Szlezak added.

Three of the singers are also already confirmed for the opening party on Friday in front of the LANXESS arena where they will be the supporting acts for the presentation of the teams. The names of the singers will be announced next week after the the participating teams of VELUX EHF FINAL4 are known.
