H 65 Höör (SWE) vs Fantasyland Samobor (CRO) 23:18 (14:8)
First leg: 17:25
Swedish team started the big chase of eight-goal deficit from the first leg in a great fashion and cut the gap to two goals by the first half. But even twelve goals by Mia Rej Bidstrup were not enough at the end as the Croatian team qualified after having won 43:40 on aggregate score.
HK Baník Most (CZE) vs Üsküdar BSK (TUR) 31:21 (14:11)
First leg: 27:31
Most made it to the final of the European club competition of EHF as the first Czech team in history.
Üsküdar´s four goal cushion was still safe at 7:7 after 15 minutes, but then the home team pushed by a sold-out arena started to catch up and in the second half a good defence combined with a great goalkeeping of Dominika Müllnerová sealed the deal for the recent winners of the joint Czech-Slovak interleague.
“I am proud on my girls and I am proud on the whole city. Our fans were incredible. This was an evening to remember,” said Most coach Dušan Poloz for the website denik.cz.
The top scorer of the match was Petra Beňušková (pictured left with a ball) with eight goals followed by Hana Martinková (with 6) who leads the ranking of the competition´s best shooters with 59 goals.
