Women's 19 EHF EURO 2013 goes graffiti

Less than four months out of the Women's 19 EHF EURO 2013 in Denmark in August, the Danish Handball Federation (DHF) has released a new advertisement poster featuring colourful graffiti art to raise the interest for and awareness of this Younger Age Category tournament.

The intention was to launch a street theme showcasing the handball event's characteristics in a fun and entertaining way.

For this project the DHF had teamed up with Kolding-based group of young artists called "Kulturlogen" (culture lodge).

This community of artists work with graffiti as an art and they created a dramatic and colorful poster with an undertone of graffiti and a ‘girly’ expression to be used in the marketing in the local area to bring attention to the European Championship that will take place from 1 to 11 August 2013.

"This is an exciting event, and I am even interested in sports, so it makes perfect sense," says Lars Skouboe, who has been with Culture Lodge since their beginnings and who is now one of their board members.

Tickets will be available via this link after the qualifying rounds and the draw for the final tournament which is scheduled to take place on 2 June.

More information can also be found on the final tournament's official website
