Groups for Women's 17 EHF EURO have been drawn
When the Women's 17 EHF EURO 2013 throws off in Poland on 15 August, Sweden, Hungary, and Slovakia are the first teams that will try to stop Russia on their way to a second consecutive title in this Younger Age Category handball event.
These four teams have been drawn to preliminary group C when the final draw for the tournament took place in the Polish city of Gdansk on Sunday, 7 April, on the fringes of the Men's EHF EURO 2014 qualification match between Poland and Sweden.
The official signing of the organisation contract between the European Handball Federation and the Polish Handball Federation took also place on this occasion.
The draw was conducted by Jean Brihault, EHF President, Michael Wiederer, EHF Secretary General, and Andrzej Krasnicki, President of the Polish Handball Federation.
The 16 participating teams have been drawn into the following groups with Poland as the organising nation having the right to choose their group.

Two years ago, at the Women's 17 EHF EURO 2011, Russia placed first ahead of Denmark and Norway.
