Wenta stays with Kielce until 2016

The first ever trip to the quarter-finals of the VELUX EHF Champions League has strenghtened the position of Bogdan Wenta at Vive Targi Kielce as the head coach signed the new three-year contract extension with the management of the Polish champions on Wednesday. The new deal should keep the former coach of the Polish national team at the winners of this season´s group phase until 2016.

The 51-year-old Wenta arrived in Kielce in 2008 and since then he won three national titles with his team.

“We are very pleased with the cooperation with Bogdan.It is the continuing of our fruitful partnership, what has given us an excellent development. We have become a recognized mark in whole Europe,” Kielce president Bertus Servaas was quoted on the official website of the club.

“I’m satisfied that board of the club see what we have accomplished together. The new contract is a confirmation that we are on the right way, which we set up in 2008," Bogdan Wenta stated.

"I really appreciate the support which I have got in Kielce. We still have to work hard to develop further and to take on new challenges. I hope, our future will see even more happy moments,” he added.

Vive Targi Kielce will face Macedonia´s HC Metalurg in the quarter-finals of the VELUX EHF Champions League. The first leg will be played on 21 April in Skopje, the second leg is scheduled for 28 April in Kielce.
