Norwegian champions also extended the contract with the left winger Thea Mørk.
Larvik sign Heidi Løke´s younger sister
Larvik HK continue to reinforce their squad for the seasons to come. Recently the Norwegian EHF Champions League semi-finalists announced the signing of 20-year-old left winger Jeannett Kristiansen from national league colleagues Glassverket, and now Larvik can announce that line player Lise Løke is joining from another Norwegian league club, Storhamar on a two year contract.
If her last name sounds familiar to handball fans around the world, it is no wonder, because the 28-year-old Lise is the younger sister of Norwegian international Heidi Løke, a former Larvik player herself, now playing in Györ in Hungary.
“By signing Lise we get an experienced line player with a lot of speed and scoring ability. Isabel (Blanco) and Lise are going to be fine supplements to each other on the line in the coming seasons, as they are so different in their way of playing,” Larvik´s head coach Ole Gustav Gjekstad told the club´s website.
At the same time, Larvik have extended their contract with one of their already established profiles, as left winger Thea Mørk is staying with the club for at least another three years.
“I was very happy when Ole (Gjekstad) told me that the club wanted to make another three year contract with me. It really feels perfect, as I feel very well here, and I am looking forward to continuing to develop here,” 21-year-old Thea Mørk said, as the extension of her contract was a fact.
“Thea is an extremely dedicated athlete who works very hard every day. It was not a given thing that she would return to her current level after several serious injuries earlier in her career. She has been patient and focused, and she is getting the pay-off for that now,” Ole Gustav Gjekstad said.
