Quarter-finals of the Cup Winners´ Cup, second leg preview

The match between Issy Paris Hand and Váci NKSE will start the schedule of the second leg quarter-finals matches in the Women´s Cup Winners´ Cup on Friday. Two easy runs to the top four of the competition and two thrilling encounters can be expected over the upcoming weekend.

Issy Paris Hand (FRA) vs Váci NKSE (HUN)
Friday 15 March 2013, 19:30 hrs local time
First leg: 23:24

Vác will bring only one point lead to the French capital after a narrow 24:23 win at the Danube river.

The ambitious club from Paris which failed to get a ticket in the Women´s EHF Champions League as a host of the Wild Card Tournamenr at the start of the season will be a favourite to qualify for the semi-finals

HC Leipzig (GER) vs Rostov Don (RUS)
Saturday 16 March, 15:00 hrs local time
First leg: 18:22

Paris or Vác will meet in the semi-finals with Leipzig or Rostov. The Russian team won the first leg by four goals but that could mean nothing in the Arena Leipzig.

Also, it could be interesting to watch, if Regina Shymkute will go on with her individual scoring feast as she netted 16 goals in the home court.

Thüringer HC (GER) vs Balonmano Bera Bera (ESP)
Sunday 17 March, 15:00 hrs local time
First leg: 33:15

The second semi-final between Thüringer HC and Hypo NÖ is all but set. The German champions dominated already in the previous leg on the court of Bera Bera in San Sebastian and it is expected that they will even increase their commanding 18 goals lead from the first match.

Hypo NÖ (AUT) vs Dinamo Volgograd (RUS)
Saturday 16 March, 15:00 hrs local time
First leg: 31:22

The record Austrian champions are in a similar driving seat as THC as they brought nine goal cushion from the court of Russian title holders and it would be a huge surprise if they lost it in their hall in Maria Enzersdorf.
